"Devious Gong" comedy show at ShopDevious.com Beauty Lounge & Boutique every 2nd wednesday

What day is the comedy show? The show takes place every 2nd wednesday of the Month. The next show will take place on July 9th

What time does the comedy show start? The doors open at 7:30pm and the show starts at 8:15pm

What is the comedy show all about? The format is based loosely on the 70’s game show, The Gong Show. Acts get up on stage and have 10 minutes to impress the judges and make them laugh. If they make the 10 then they’ve beat the gong and have a chance of winning. It they don't conquor the gong, they will not participate in the joke off. The top 2 scoring comedians will have a joke off, each getting 2 minutes to make the audience laugh. Hosted by Ray Love & DJ'd by Dirty Red

Who judges the comedians? KrisVerCar, David from Colorstore and a surpreise guest judge. In the end, after the joke off, the audience will have the final decision.

How is the contest judged? The judges will have card holders and decide how long the acts get to stay on stage. If the act is dying, ie. oldest puns in history, lagging jokes, if they are just not funny then the judges will hold up their card. If all 3 cards are held aloft, the act will hear the gong being sounded by the MC and they’re off. If there aren’t three cards displayed at the end of the act, they have made it to the final voting round.

Who can get up and perform? Anyone, we’re looking for anyone who thinks they can be funny for 10 minutes with the chance of winning a prize. There is a$25 gift certificate to our boutique for 1st place, plus the winner has the option of hosting the following months show.
